Back Oleation (Kati Basti)

Description

Kati Basti is an Ayurvedic body treatment that dates back 5,000 years ago.  In sanskrit, Kati means back and Basti means retaining something inside which would be warm herb infused oil for this treatment.  Kati Basti is a part of external oleation therapy in Ayurveda, and consists of bathing the lower back region with warm herb infused oil. Imagine this as a detox for your lower back.  This process is repeated several times during the session to bring relief to your lower backache and disorders of the lumbosacral region.
